Ledbury RFC Youth Section have delivered the goods once more with promising players Sam Chapell-Davis and James Wileman who are off to Bristol and Wasps Academy. Both players have come throught the youth section and have now earned the opportunity to train and compete with the best players in the country. Sam who attends John Kyrle in Ross-on-Wye has just turned sixteen years old, plays prop forward and has always set his sights high with ambitions to play professional rugby. James Wileman attends Cathedral High School in Hereford, plays second Row forward and like Sam represented Ledbury at Under 16`s last season. Junior Chairman, Steve John expresssed his delight for the boys by saying "we wish the two lads all the very best for their future rugby careers and that they are always welcome to drop back in to see us all at Ledbury RFC"
The young men now enter the academies with much to prove to their tutors with training beginning this week for them both. Ledbury, Director of Rugby Bruce Ruthven stated "Sam and James will be given structured rugby programmes incorporating Strenght & Conditioning, Nutrition, Position Specific Training, and other assistance that will give them every opportunity to make it to the highest level. Whilst also conducting their studies through the academies of rugby it will be a fun but demanding time for them both over the next few years, we congratulate the boys and wish them both the best of luck."
